Update on the Fire
Please pray for the fire situation in Southern California. Many families from the church were evacuated from the cities of Yorba Linda, Brea, Diamond Bar, Anaheim Hills and Chino Hills. As of Sunday evening, all of our families in the cities of Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills, Brea and Chino Hills are either back home or at least aware that their homes are okay. Everyone is now safe and back home with no damage

Friends Day - Nov 23
November 23rd is Friend's Day. It will be a special day with a video presentation, a clear preaching of the Gospel, and a Thanksgiving turkey lunch. Postcards are available for you to invite your friends or those who are not plugged into a church.

Christmas Eve Concert Celebration - Dec 24
Christmas Eve Concert 2008 is coming! This year, our adorable children will celebrate Christ's birth with their Tony-worthy musical. So what about the rest of us? If you wish to celebrate Christmas through special music on stage, you are invited to help us put on the BEST Christmas Eve Concert EVER for our King! Please submit your act with details to Danny Roh (dannyroh@gmail.com) or Ji Gil (jygil311@yahoo.com). The deadline for submission is Sunday, December 7th.

ER Challenge
The ER Challenge: "Share Your Faith!" For the month of November, we are challenging everyone at Living Hope: 1) To wear "The Nail" necklace prominently at your work, school, home, and wherever you are, 2) To share with anyone who asks why you are wearing it, and 3) To share your experience with your cell group and 4) To invite those who are interested to Friend's Day (11/23). We have "Share Your Faith" Cards available for those who need help in sharing your faith and communicating the Gospel.

A Prime Christmas - Dec 27
That’s right everyone! “A Prime Christmas” at Campanile Restaurant near the Grove in LA will be held on Dec. 27 (Sat.) at 5:30PM. The Cost is $40. Also, we have invited Ron McGhee, a well-known Christian comedian, to make us giggle, laugh, and just have some fun. The early bird ticket price is $40 until Dec. 14th and it will increase to $45 thereafter. Banquet tickets go on sale starting 11/16. It's going to be a great time. (Please bring a gift from home for the gift exchange.) Hope to see all of you there! For more information, please speak with Pastor David Kim.

Singled Out: A Singles Conference - Jan 10
Living Hope’s PR1ME Ministry will host it’s first ever Single Adult Conference on January 10, 2009. Pastor Tae Shin, our guest speaker, will address “single-specific issues that we don’t talk about at church.” We are inviting other single adult (ages 22+) ministries to come and engage in this valuable time of learning. The conference is open to the public. You can register for this conference by filling out the online registration form. If you have any questions contact Pastor David.

Baby Dedication - Nov 30
Baby dedication will take place on Sunday, November 30. If you would like to dedicate your child, please fill out the appropriate form (www.livinghopecc.org/resource/form.asp) and turn it into Susan Chung (soojanchung@gmail.com).

Church Prayer Requests

Please pray for Nancy & Ji as they are expecting twin girls. Because of the high risk nature of the pregnancy, Nancy was admitted to the hospital and will remain there until the birth of the babies. As of November 10, Nancy is nearly 25 weeks.

Pray for Tony & Sarah's visas to come through soon so they can book tickets and go back to Southeast Asia before the end of Nov

Praise God for an immensely fruitful Festafall. The ER team estimates that we had more than children at the event (more than 200 kids from the community). Many families inquired about the church and wanted to know more about future programs of the church. Pray that our light shining in the community will bear much fruit.

Pray for our staff as they minister:
- 11/10-12 Steve Chang attends JAMA pastor's forum
- 11/13 David Kim speaks for UCSD-CCM
- 11/19 Tim Yu speaks for UCI-CCM
- 12/15-17 Steve Chang speaks for UCI-CCM retreat

Pray that God would reveal much through the results of the Townhall meetings and through the wise counsel of SDG. They will be giving a preliminary copy of the feasibility analysis top the elders and building committee task force within weeks before presenting it to the congregation before the end of the year.

Pray for protection and spiritual guidance for Jason P. and the men of his platoon as they serve in the Middle East.
