CATAPULT SUMMER MISSIONS • 2012

The theme for our year is “Know God and Make Him Known.” In order to apply this theme, we’ve set out as one of our goals to “Go on Missions.” In 2012, every student will have an opportunity to make this a reality through two separate trips.

Week of Hope

Our current 10th-12th graders will travel to East Asia to work with our mid-term missionaries who host yearly camps teaching English life lessons to youth students. These camps are much like our youth retreats here in the States with the exception that the gospel is not able to be overtly preached. Instead, students interact with other students and teachers through class time, games, and activities/field trips, while learning life lessons based on Christian principles. For the first time ever, we will be joining the STEP Team who will be there for four weeks. We will be joining them midway for the final two and a half weeks of the trip from July 11-28.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I go on a trip that is not designated for my grade?
In order to maximize the effectiveness for each trip you will only be allowed to go on the trip within your grade. The breakdown is your current grade as of January 2012.
What if I can’t afford the trip?
There will be ample opportunity to raise funds. Finances should never be a reason not to go!
Are these trips safe?
Absolutely! Along with Danny, the teams will be accompanied by other Catapult staff. In addition, both trips are organized by trusted people!

Our current 7th-9th graders will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota during the week of June 23-30 for a community service based  trip. Week of Hope is a heartfelt mission trip where youth focus on building friendships and meaningful connections as they serve the needs of people through local ministries and non-profit organizations. Week of Hope is planned and led by Group Mission Trips. They have been planning, organizing and leading trips for over 30 years all over the U.S.
