COVID-19 Advisory

The leaders at Living Hope have been discussing the growing concerns around the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Though the virus has not proliferated in the Southern California area, we realize that there is a potential for it and that we should take precautionary measures.

  1. As of now, we will continue to meet as a church body on Sunday and midweeks. Because this is a continually changing situation, the leadership will continue to meet regularly and communicate through this COVID-19 page on our website to update you on any changing policy and recommendations.
  2. We are developing the ability to offer live stream services and hope to roll it out shortly. In the meanwhile, click here to visit our youtube channel to view the sermons which are posted every Sunday.
  3. We are asking all Living Hope to take preventive measures to reduce the spread of all viruses:
    • Minimize touch such as hugging or shaking hands. Be mindful of common touch points such as door handles and iPads.
    • Cover your cough with our with your elbow or sleeve. You may wear your mask at church if you feel the need.
    • Wash your hands frequently with soap for at least 20 seconds. There are hand sanitizers you can use throughout the church.
  4. If you or your child feels ill or has any cold symptoms such as cough, fever or shortness of breath, stay home, seek treatment if necessary, and do not come to church until symptoms are completely resolved.
  5. If you have traveled or have prolonged close contact with household members who have traveled back from a country that the CDC as issued travel warning to because of COVID-19 (currently: China, Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan, Hong Kong) within the last two weeks, please self-quarantine yourself at home for two weeks.
  6. We have made a decision to cancel our STEP trips to Asia for the summer and the GO Honduras trip in the spring. We are keeping open our Compass Honduras trip for the summer but will continue to monitor the situation.

The chances of contracting COVID-19 from church are very low at this time and we will continue to monitor our situation. Living Hope's current posture is to be aware and communicate awareness but not take unnecessary measures at this time. Thank you all for helping us stay healthy during this cold and flu season.
