WHY THIS RETREAT?
In the ups and downs of today's life, our hearts get often filled with AAA - feeling anxious, afraid, and angry. Anxious that seen and unseen things may go wrong, afraid of pain or losing someone important, and even angry at small and big injustices experienced and observed. In response, many single adults fill their hearts by striving for career advancement, right marriage, social/media presence, physical and mental health, etc. Some make it, while some do not. Yet either way, these solutions do not completely resolve the constant longing of the human heart in the midst of the AAA of life - we are prone to wander and wander some more.
What is inner peace, and how do we get it? How is the inner peace of Jesus any different than feeling secured in money and power? We invite Primers (singe adults) to this retreat to experience the peace of God and begin practicing true inner peace - the type of peace that rises out of being assured of one's salvation more than worldly accomplishments or even personal well-being.
WHO SHOULD COME TO THIS RETREAT?
We invite all single adults of Living Hope and their friends. We call them "Primers." Technically, Primers are those who are unmarried and 23 years old or older. However, some among Prime are a bit younger due to having graduated college early. Other Primers are in the middle ages of life. We welcome them all!
