Roy is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified sex addiction therapist, practicing in Diamond Bar. He also hosts 2 podcasts, one that focuses on sex addiction, and the other focusing on the things that Christians go through, but avoid talking about (The Same Boat). Roy is married to Jenn, and is the proud stepdaddy to Audrey. |

BARRY H. COREY |
Barry H. Corey is the eighth president of Biola University. A native of Boston, Corey previously served as vice president for education at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He received a B.A. in English and biblical studies from Evangel University and an M.A. in American studies and a Ph.D. in education from Boston College. As a Fulbright scholar, he lived in Bangladesh, where he researched educational programs for children of the landless poor. Corey is the author of the book Love Kindness: Discover the Power of a Forgotten Christian Virtue. He and his wife, Paula, have three children: Anders, Ella, and Samuel. |
JAMES HAN |
Rev. James Han is the senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church which has two sites, Los Angeles and Torrance. He planted his Los Angeles site in 2002 and began his Torrance site in 2010 to reach his community. In 2018, he was elected to serve as School Board Trustee of the Torrance Unified School District. He is supported by his beautiful wife, Sorah and his three wonderful children: Iain Selah and Nathan. |

Pastor Steve Chang is a graduate of UCLA (B.S. in Computer Engineering), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M) and Talbot School of Theology (D.Min.). He feels blessed to live with “the three most beautiful women in the world,” his wife Hannah and his two daughters, Christine and Janice. |

Heidi was born in Pusan, South Korea and came to the US at the age of 5 with her parents. She graduated from UC Irvine with a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She served as a Living Hope Children's Ministry intern for six months this year. She will be applying to medical school within two years in hopes of becoming a medical missionary in the future. |
JOY KIM |
Joy was born in 1991 in Musan, North Korea and escaped when she was 18 years old. When she reached China, the female broker who had helped her escape demanded that Joy repay her immediately for her assistance. Joy couldn’t afford to pay, so the broker took her from village to village, trying to sell her as a bride. After three humiliating days, an older Chinese farmer paid $3,000 for her. She tried to find a way to escape but soon became pregnant with the man’s child and gave birth to a daughter. In 2013, Joy was introduced to LiNK’s network in China and was finally able to reach safety. She is now a university student studying social work in South Korea and wants to dedicate her life to helping families. |

CORY ISHIDA |
Pastor Cory Ishida was born in Alhambra, CA in 1947 to Nisei (second generation Japanese American) parents. He grew up in Pasadena, CA and graduated from UCLA with a degree in zoology. Cory has been married to his wife, Reine, since 1969. They have three married daughters and ten grandchildren. Cory was the senior pastor of Evergreen Baptist Church of Los Angeles (Evergreen LA) in 1977. In 1997, he planted Evergreen Baptist Church of San Gabriel Valley (Evergreen SGV) located in La Puente, CA. |
AVELINE PURVIS |
Aveline McFarland Purvis was born on March 7, 1925 in Butler Oklahoma. She married William Eugene Purvis at the Wiltshire Presbyterian in L.A. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at the North Hollywood Methodist Church in 1944 and have 4 children (Pamela, Bill, Linda and Sandra), 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren with one on the way. She retired after 30 years as a branch manager in the Production Schedules Space Programs. She was the first woman for McDonell Douglas to send as a VIP to watch an Apollo launch. It was Apollo 16. Her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1993 so she was his caregiver for 12 years (6 at home and 6 in a facility). For 10 years she was a facilitator for Alzheimer’s Support (Fullerton and Lake Park Brea). For the last 14 years she has been a widow and for the last 3 years no caregiver responsibilities for the first time in her adult life giving her more time to study God’s Word and really get to know the character of God. In 2013 God brought her to LHCC. Thank You, Jesus! |

Chris grew up in a Chinese-American church near Torrance and is a graduate of UCR and Talbot School of Theology. Chris has a passion for making disciples and bringing the gospel to places where it has not yet been proclaimed. As the Director of Student Ministries, he shepherds the youth to be disciple makers of Jesus. Chris married Jessica in October of 2016. |
EDDIE & JAN LEE |
Edward works for the United Nations Foundation, as a Senior Communications Officer in global health. Previously, he was the Associate Director at the White House Office of Public Engagement, the Youth Outreach Director on the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and a communications specialist at the U.S. Department of Education. As a filmmaker, he has directed and produced over 150 short films, documentaries and PSA's generating over 30 million views. He is a graduate of Harvard University, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Global Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary. Jan graduated from college in 2007 with a Liberal Arts degree, Jan took the plunge to creatively combine her college education and heart for missions to serve in Southeast Asia for 5 years, and later Europe, as a tentmaker and church planter. Today, when she is not producing sports documentaries for Hollywood studios and the Olympic Channel or working on her sustainable fashion project, she is serving alongside her husband (Eddie) in their joint mission, Eight Parables. |
